Most Popular Crime Show is Law and Order
Crime dramas have been a popular viewer’s choice in television shows for decades. It seems every new season brings at least one new crime show to the lineup. It is amazing how well these shows do in ratings even when there is so much crime in the world. Then again maybe that is the reason these crime shows are so popular.
Although there are so many of this type of show on television few have been as successful and long running as Law and Order and its subsequent spinoffs.
One reason Law and Order has been so successful is because of its approach to dealing with the real life issues of living in a big city that has many dangers and different avenues and degrees of crime.
Although both spinoffs from the original Law and Order have been extremely successful, Law and Order: SVU remains the only one that still has most of the original characters that began with the show. Although some characters have come and gone most of the original cast are still present in even the newest season making it even more successful than the other Law and Orders variations where the characters have changed every few seasons.
